Cruising Celebrity style
My first cruising experience, Ft. Celebrity Costellation
We took this amazing cruise on our 3rd wedding anniversary after reviewing a lot of cruises and itineraries on cruisecritic.com. They have amazing information on all the cruises. Constellation was ranked #3 in the Celebrity cruise lines and it is the only cruise I find that offer Indian cuisine. We booked a balcony room to enjoy the ocean view right from our room.
It was a 5 day Caribbean cruise which stops at 2 islands during the trip, Cozumel - Mexico and Key west - Florida (USA). Both the islands packed with a wide variety of things to do on the land and in the water. We choose less activities to have more relaxed fun and to avoid the risk of missing cruise.
We flew from Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale and reached the port on 7th Dec, 2015. We were greeted by friendly cruise staff and completed the boarding process and got our room keys. The cruise departed around 2PM and we started exploring it after some time. The dining area was amazing with a lot of sea view spots and the food is mind blowing. There are so many cuisines to please everyone's pallet. We explored the pools, zim, Table tennis, shops, casino, auditorium and called it a day after dinner.
We were on sea all day on 8th and 10th Dec. The room service guy left a pamphlet listing all the activities for the day and we picked things of our interest. There were discount shopping events on all days with amazing offers on liquor and accessories and 2 live shows in the evening and night. Elyria was the best of all which blew everyone's mind with an amazing Vegas style production act. The standup comedy was great too. There were live music and illusion shows as well. We had fun playing bingo and blackjack in casino. No luck with gambling earning though, but it was fun.
We visited beautiful Cozumel on 9th and took a submarine ride. It was breathtaking experience in the white sand clear waters of Cozumel. Amazing views of sea life 250 ft under water. I would recommend exploring the waters through scuba diving. It would be a life time memory for sure. I wish we have time to visit the historic Mayan ruins...maybe next time. We didn't do anything fancy in Key West on 11th. Took a historic trolley ride and been to the southernmost point. Visited the oldest house and spent time shopping in Duval Street.
Cruising should be in your must do list. It is very relaxing as you don't have to run around, everything you need is just a few steps away, food, shopping, casino and live shows.
